Concept
The owners of Center Hill wanted to build a personal lake home on Center Hill Lake inspired by the organic architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright. Using mid-century forms Center Hill takes advantage of the nearby lake views and connects indoor and outdoor spaces. Mid-century modern architecture is known for having dominant roof lines making the architecture visually horizontal. Starting with these horizontal forms CW developed a concept that allowed these horizontal forms to step and tier connecting the home with the steep grade of the yard and creating a transition down to the water.
