Jacob Wimsatt

Owner, Principal Architect

Jacob, originally from Owensboro, Kentucky, holds a master’s in Architecture from the University of Tennessee. He is a licensed architect in several southern states. As the principal architect, Jacob leads with vision and expertise, overseeing projects from concept to completion. His dedication to innovative design and meticulous attention to detail ensures the firm delivers outstanding architectural solutions.

Cristy Ortiz

Project Manager

Cristy, originally from Puerto Rico, holds a master’s in Architecture and International Real Estate. This unique foundation empowers her to approach every project holistically, blending creative design with a deep understanding of the business side of construction and development. She thrives on complex design challenges, working closely with clients to realize their vision and create functional, beautiful living spaces. Her broad experience, including a strong focus on interior design, allows her to guide clients through every detail, from initial concept to the final product.

Michael, a Nashville native, is a University of Tennessee graduate with a degree in Architecture. In the office, Michael is dedicated to day-to-day drawings and enhancing design quality. With a passion for precision and creativity, Michael ensures every project achieves its highest potential, contributing to the firm’s reputation for exceptional architectural work.

Leonardo Cruz

B.Arch

Architectural Designer

Leonardo, originally from Brazil, holds a degree in Architecture and Urbanism and a Master’s in BIM Management from the University of Barcelona. He contributes to the team by combining precise technical drawing, thoughtful decision-making, and creative insight. His design approach bridges architectural techniques with human scale and client vision, delivering unique, contemporary, and efficient architecture.
 

In memory of brian clements

In May of 2024, we suffered the loss of one of our Principal Architects, Brian Clements. Brian started his own firm, Clements & Associates, in Chattanooga, TN in the mid-’90s. He played a key role in revitalizing  the city as a part of the design-build team. In 2006, Brian moved the company to Bowling Green, KY. to participate in their downtown TIF and be closer to his family. He operated there until 2017. Wanting to grow the firm and pursue more projects, Brian and I made the decision to move the firm to Nashville. Along the way, Clements & Associates became Clements Wimsatt Architects in 2019. For 5 years we worked side by side building CW, creating designs, and serving our clients the best ways we knew how. To say CW has lost a piece of itself is an understatement.
